As a travel blogger, I am always on the lookout for ways to live sustainably while exploring new places. And during my recent trip to the Philippines, I came across a brand that is making it easier for people to make eco-friendly choices in their daily lives – Babyflo.
I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of Babyflo’s new line of eco-friendly cotton buds at the Happy Garden Cafe in Makati. The event was a celebration of the brand’s commitment to sustainability and its efforts to provide greener alternatives for its iconic products.
The Philippines is currently facing serious environmental issues, with the loss of approximately 52,000 trees per day and the destruction of 47,000 hectares of forest every year. Consumers in the country are becoming more aware of the disastrous impacts of waste in landfills and the environment, and are keen on making a difference by choosing eco-friendly options.
Babyflo’s Gentle Buds Eco-friendly is the first Earth-minded cotton buds in the market made of 100% pure cotton tips, unbleached paper stems that come from responsibly managed forests, and biodegradable packaging. This product is a great example of how consumers can make a difference by choosing eco-friendly options for their daily needs.
During the event, we were introduced to the brand’s initiatives towards sustainability, including their efforts to stop 50,000 kilograms of plastic from entering the ocean. Other brands under the same company also have their own initiatives, such as Cleene and Rhea’s alcohol refilling station.
Aside from being eco-friendly, Babyflo’s Gentle Buds can be used for a variety of tasks, such as removal or application of cosmetic products, application of medicine on injuries/wounds, and removing smudged nail polish. The unbleached paper stems are sturdy, and the 100% pure cotton tips are also durable, which makes them ideal for different uses.
Makeup artist Chuchie Ledesma demonstrated how to use Babyflo’s Gentle Buds Eco-Friendly for personal care and grooming, including make-up application. And as someone who supports makeup and skincare brands that are proud to be cruelty-free, I was happy to learn that Babyflo is also cruelty-free.
Overall, I am impressed with Babyflo’s commitment to sustainability and providing eco-friendly options for consumers. It’s great to see brands taking small steps and sometimes even big leaps towards a greener future.
